In terms of specifications, Similar to the other Oppo devices, Oppo A83 also sports a metal unibody design. It imparts a 5.7-inch IPS display with an HD+ screen resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. The device is powered by an octa-core processor – MediaTek 6763T clocked at 2.5GHz – coupled 32GB of inbuilt storage that is expandable up to 256 GB via microSD card. The dual-SIM VoLTE smartphone houses a 3,180mAh battery.
In terms of optics, Oppo A83 flaunts a 13MP rear camera along with LED flash and an 8MP selfie camera at the front. On the connectivity front, the device supports a 3.5mm headphone jack, a Micro-USB port and Bluetooth 4.2. The device will use facial recognition to unlock and therefore there is no fingerprint sensor. The device is priced at 1399 Yuan (approximately Rs 13,500) in China and it is expected to be priced under Rs 15,000 in India.
