As of now, the name of the upcoming OnePlus smartphone has not been confirmed but going by the company’s regular line-up, it should be named the OnePlus 6. As per the report, the CEO also puts a question mark over the company’s trend of launching two devices in one year, as the CEO was “not sure” about introducing a second device in 2018.
Focussing on their previous devices, Carl Pei confirmed the introduction of a beta version of company’s ‘Face Unlock’ feature to OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T, which it first presented with its latest flagship, the OnePlus 5T. “There’s no reason to withhold features we can easily implement,” Pei said.
In addition to all these updates around the smartphones, OnePlus is also reportedly planning to initiate talks with telecom operators in the US to build a mainstream traction.
OnePlus has also introduced a Lava Red edition for its OnePlus 5T in India last week, with a price tag of Rs 37,999.
