OnePlus 3T Midnight Black Review: The Best Black Phone That Money Can Buy

We all know the fact that the OnePlus 3T is the best value for money smartphone that money can buy in India right now. With a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 Processor that’s backed by 6GB RAM. That’s more than enough firepower for anyone wanting to buy a smartphone with a flagship experience. That’s the same processor that you get on the Google Pixel phones and new flagship phones by other companies at almost twice the price of the OnePlus 3T.

We got hold of the 128GB storage Black variant of the OnePlus 3t and here’s why we think that it’s the best Black colour phone that money can buy in India.

Unlike many other smartphone manufacturers with black colour phone options, OnePlus 3t black uses a fingerprint resistant coating on the aluminium body of the OnePlus 3T. This basically lets you use the phone without a back cover and it looks neat if you handle it with clean hands. There are almost no fingerprint smudges at the back of the OnePlus 3T midnight black edition even after you have repeatedly used it for an entire day. There have been black editions of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 as well, but that attracts a lot of fingerprints and we all know that the iPhone 7 Jet Black has been the frontrunner when it comes to attracting any kind of smudges and even scratches.

Also, the company did try out almost 30 iterations before finalising the black edition that’s sold in the market. The 14-micron black coating on the OnePlus 3t black edition is done three times on the device and still, it does not show any signs of bulging. The black coating looks like a part of the metal body shell and gives a premium feel.

Another improvement that OnePlus has done on the successor to the OnePlus 3 is that now it comes with a 16-megapixel front facing camera. The selfie experience one the OnePlus 3T is way better than what you got on the OnePlus 3. The rear camera remains the same as the OnePlus 3, which is pretty potent.

The most impressive feature for us is the 3,400 mAh battery that comes with DASH charging technology. Its quick charging capabilities are still unmatched and many flagships struggle to keep up with the DASH charging technology.
With 30 minutes of charge, the OnePlus 3T lasts you easily a day. The 400 mAh boost in battery capacity over the OnePlus 3 now makes it last a couple of days easily if you are an average user. For heavy users, the OnePlus 3T will last easily a day-and-a-half.

The only hitch with the OnePlus 3t Black edition is that it only comes with 128GB storage option that costs Rs 34,999. That for some might be a little expensive than a normal OnePlus 3T with 64GB storage. But for those looking for a unique flagship smartphone experience, the OnePlus 3t Black edition will satisfy their hunger for flagship Android smartphone experience.
