The product offerings of the company in India lists two series – V series and Y series and completely misses out on the X series which will be receiving the Android 8.0 Oreo update. This means, that none of the Vivo smartphone owners in India will be receiving the Android 8.0 Oreo update anytime soon.

With the Android Oreo update, the users of the above-listed smartphones will receive Oreo-based features including picture-in-picture mode, faster boot times, notifications dots, password autofill, new emojis, Wifi assistant and more. Vivo has also confirmed a new version of FunTouch OS to be rolled out to the Vivo smartphones along with the latest Android update.
