KFC Will Gift Wrap Smoky Grilled Wings With a Drone That Actually Flies

In a unique marketing initiative by KFC, consumers who orders the new Smoky Grilled wings at select KFCs across India might win a drone that actually flies. Few lucky consumers will get Smoky Grilled wings in a cool packaging that has detachable drone parts. There is an online user manual that will guide you with the assembly and installation process of the drone.

The drone can be controlled by your smartphone via Bluetooth. The company hasn’t revealed much about the drone’s capabilities.

“Food and technology, are two things that keep us and our consumers excited. To celebrate the introduction of our new scrumptious Smoky Grilled Wings, we are launching a limited edition KFO box. It is super cool packaging that converts into a drone,” said Lluis Ruiz Ribot, CMO, KFC India.

The drone packaging will be only available when KFC customers order Smoky Grilled Wings on January 25 and 26 across 12 stores in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Pune and Kochi only.

KFC India is also looking forward to sell the drone packaging on their official website, online.kfc.co.in next week.
