Australian shares have slipped at the open, despite expectations of a positive start following gains on Wall Street on Friday.
At 10.10am (AEDT), the benchmark S & P/ASX200 index was down 10 points, or 0.17 per cent, at 5,765.6, while the broader All Ordinaries index was down 8.5 points, or 0.15 per cent, at 5,802.7.
The SPI200 futures contract was down 10 points, or 0.17 per cent, at 5,769 points.
