Amazon India Monday surprised smartphone enthusiasts with an advertisement on its website offering the 32GB Space Grey version of the old Apple iPhone 6 for Rs 28,999. The offer which is valid till March 7, is surprising because Apple never launched a 32GB storage variant in India.
The Apple iPhone 6, which was announced in September 2014, was made available in 16GB, 64GB and 128GB storage options officially. However, the Cupertino-based tech giant has reportedly announced a 32GB storage variant exclusively for the Asian market.

While China and Taiwan will officially get the 32GB variant of the older iPhone 6, there is no confirmation from Apple to launch the same in India. So, before you buy it from Amazon India, here are four things to consider:
The 32GB iPhone 6 offer on Amazon India is made by a third-party seller, called E-Mobiles, on the platform. While the offer is “Fulfilled by Amazon”, this simply means that the product is “stored, packed and dispatched by Amazon”. There is no cash on delivery option as well.
Only Infibeam and Flipkart are Apple Authorised Internet Resellers for iPhones in India. While the offer claims to provide “1-year manufacturer warranty for device and 6 months manufacturer warranty for in-box accessories including batteries from the date of purchase”, there is not much clarity on the same.

Of course, the iPhone is old, but just head to the official Apple India website. There is no mention of the older iPhone 6. The company has reportedly stopped making them as well and there are newer iPhone variants at similar competitive prices.
